In many types of decoration the amazing properties of today’s materials and synthetic polymers have revolutionised the composition of traditional colours. With the introduction of new pigments in unprecedented colours and binders offering new properties, these substances pave the way to brand new techniques. Idea oven bake enamels now offer decorators and hobbyists a new possibility: a semi-professional product halfway between cold ceramic colours and traditional firing techniques such as Terzo Fuoco. This line of ceramic decoration products is expressly conceived to offer the same results as Terzo Fuoco colours without the need for firing at high temperatures in a professional kiln. The colours in this innovative range are made out of pigments combined with a special resin which forms a long-lasting film resistant to light, abrasion and frequent washing in the dishwasher and need only be fired at moderate heat. After decoration the object is fired in an ordinary home oven at 160/170 °C (325°F) for about 30 minutes. The range includes 18 colours, which may be mixed together to provide a complete palette. The product is sold ready for use: bright, glossy colours which are very fluid and brush on easily. May be applied to ceramic, porcelain, even glass or metal, offering excellent quality and resistance. Not recommended for use on dishes.
